Family Educational Services Foundation (FESF) is a non-profit educational organization active in Pakistan since 1984. FESF is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all members of the community, especially those who are disadvantaged. We invest in educational development and provide innovative training programs, developmental tools and services to enable recipients to gain competency and self-sufficiency, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Legal Status

FESF is setup under a license from Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan under section 42 of the Company Ordinance,1984. Approved U/S2(36) of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, read with rule 212 of the income rules, 2002. Our accounts are audited by Haroon Zakaria & Co. FESF has been awarded the UN ECOSOC Consultative status since 2014.

Tax Benefit to Donor

Donors can claim income tax credit on donation amount paid to FESF. We are approved and eligible for Zakat by Zakat & Ushr Dept., Gov’t of Sindh. All donations are tax exempted. Zakat funds are kept in separate Shariah compliant bank and zakat money is expensed according to the Shariah law & principle.

Programs

  • Deaf Reach Program

    An estimated nine million people in Pakistan have some form of hearing loss. Of these, 1.25 million children are deaf, yet less than 2% attend school.
  • Dast’khat

    Apparel line and home textile products made by deaf artisans. Proceeds from sales provide scholarships for students in the Deaf Reach School program.
  • Eduserve Program

    The mandate of the Eduserve training program is to strengthen the educational infrastructure by training teachers, administrators, parents and youth.
  • MOVE

    The MOVE (Motivated Volunteer Empowerment) Program aims to effect social change by training and engaging Pakistani youth in meaningful community development.
  • Pakistan Sign Language
    (PSL)

    The native language of any Deaf community is their signed language, which is different and unique in every country. Here, it is Pakistan Sign Language (PSL).
