National Bank of Pakistan sponsors MOVE program in Sukkur

With the support of National Bank of Pakistan, the MOVE program was taken to the interior of Sindh for the first time ever. The program was held at the Institute of Business Administration in Sukkur for 45  IBA students. The participants went on to implement five community projects in varied locations.

Approximately 950 people directly benefited from the work which the volunteers carried out, and another estimated 6,000 were indirectly affected by the projects. Beneficiaries included hospital patients, college students, school children, rural residents, and more.

At Civil Hospital, a team of volunteers conducted health awareness and fun activities for child patients, and distributed donated medicines and healthy food. Hospital Superintendent, Sayyad Mehboob Ali Shah congratulated the volunteers on their effort and welcomed them back to conduct further projects.

Another team of volunteers implemented the “Keep Clean – Keep Green” environmental awareness campaign at Islamia College, helping to clean up the premises and planting greenery in the bar courtyard. They also placed posters and signs to inspire the students to maintain a clean, green environment. A different group of volunteers focused their work on advancing the cause of energy and water conservation by installing energy-saving light bulbs, and new metal taps to prevent water leakage. They also raised awareness by hanging posters in their college and throughout the city.
