New Deaf Reach School upcoming in Rashidabad

FESF in collaboration with Rashid Memorial Welfare Organization is establishing a new school for deaf children in Rashidabad, Tando Allahyar. (Click here to view in Google Maps)
The school will be on 2 acres of land, and will accomodate 500 deaf children from the surrounding areas - most of whom have never attended school before.
Construction is in progress, with estimated completion by March 2012.

- Land and building donated by RMWO - value Rs. 77 million (906,000 USD)
Still needed:
- Setup/equipment costs: Rs. 15.9 million (187,000 USD)
- 1st year operational costs: Rs. 16.6 million (195,000 USD)
- Endowment fund to cover future operational costs
Some ways you can help are to:
- Sponsor a classroom setup (incl. all furnishings, lights, fans, computer, whiteboard, bookshelves) - Rs. 278,000 per (3,300 USD)
- Kitchen setup (incl. refrigerator, freezer, stove, cookware, dishes, utensils, water cooler) - Rs. 450,000 (5,300 USD)
- the IT lab (incl. 25 computers w/ stations, lights fans, air con, media projector) - Rs. 1,125,000 (13,000 USD)
- the auditorium (incl. seating for 500, lights, fans, stage, media projector) - Rs. 2,450,000 (28,400 USD)

- a student for 1 year (incl. all specialized tuition, pick/drop transport, uniform, lunch, school material) - Rs. 54,000 (700 USD)
